Kingsbridge's diversity is reflected in the global cuisine available in all parts of the historic town.

Below are just a few highlights to give you a sense of the town’s truly international flavour.

Indian
Kingsbridge is home to two delightful Indian restaurants - the Maha-Bharat and Spice Mahal. The Maha-Bharat is an award-winning restaurant offering delicious traditional dishes in a recently refurbished restaurant. The impressive menu features a large selection of authentic Indian, Bengali, Punjabi and Kashmiri cuisine. Fully licensed and air-conditioned, the Maha-Bharat is open 5pm until midnight every day, including Bank holidays. The contemporary Spice Mahal, which is also fully licensed, offers an excellent menu and a friendly service. Both restaurants are located in Mill Street and are a must visit for lovers of fine Indian food.

Chinese
There is plenty of choice if you're after a delicious Chinese dish. The Jasmine, situated at the top of Fore Street, offers great value for money in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Café Asia, which is located in Mill Street, is a luxury option, with a stylish menu and contemporary setting. Both restaurants offer exotic delights from regions around Canton, Peking, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Japan. They certainly bring a mouth-watering taste of Asia to Kingsbridge.

Italian
Head to the luxurious Ponte Rialto restaurant in Church Street for stylish, tasty Italian cuisine. The restaurant, which is named after the famous bridge in Venice, offers an extensive menu freshly cooked to order. Pasta, pizza, steak, veal, chicken, pork and seafood dishes are all available. Giovanni's Ristorante, also situated in Church Street, is a family-friendly restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. You can choose from a wide selection of pasta dishes, veal, steaks and fish.

Mediterranean
The Pig Finca Café is a great place to enjoy the best in Mediterranean cuisine. The café offers simple, well prepared food, using organic produce whenever possible, from local sources and specialties from the Mediterranean. Popular dishes include lamb kofti, chicken chorizo, roast hallumi and tuna cassamanche. The fully licensed Pig Finca Café is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
