Hope Cove Weekend sees both villagers and visitors from all over the country coming together for high jinks and only semi-serious sport.

Traditionally held over the August Bank Holiday, the lively programme of entertainment includes activities for both the young and the young at heart.

Popular events such as children's races, sandcastle competitions, churn races, dinghy racing, barbecues and live music all form part of the weekend's itinerary.

Over the years thousands of pounds have been raised during the event and the money is used to help boost local clubs and organisations.
