A former Kingsbridge Community College student is facing the challenge of a lifetime when she embarks on her first marathon.
Michelle Hack, from West Charleton, will be running the Flora London Marathon in April in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Her goal is to run the 26-mile marathon in less than five hours and raise at least £2,000 for the charity.
The 22-year-old, who is currently studying BSc Psychology at Plymouth University, regularly trains with the South Hams Hash House Harriers.
"I'm really looking forward to running the marathon," says Michelle.
"I know that the money raised will go directly to Macmillan who provide the practical, medical, financial and emotional support, which makes a real difference to people living with cancer.
"Most of my friends and family think I’m crazy for doing the marathon, but I love a challenge, and it also gives me a chance to support an amazing charity."
