College scoops coveted arts award

Kingsbridge Community College has been awarded a coveted award for its involvement with the arts.

The popular college was given the Artsmark Gold award by the Arts Council for the quality of its arts education and its range of arts activities outside of the curriculum.

The college stages eight productions each year along with at least four concerts and other dance performances.

It was designated a High Performing Specialist School in view of its excellent exam results and offered a second specialism in the Arts in 2007.
