Salcombe Maritime and Local History Museum

No visit to Salcombe would be complete without a visit to the immensely interesting Salcombe Maritime and Local History Museum.
The exhibitions change annually to keep regular visitors coming back again and again. This museum will take you down memory lane to the days of the smugglers, ship builders and the fast fruit schooners of the 19th century.
The children will love the hands-on displays, there are ship models, boatyard models, old photographs, paintings and shipwreck artifacts.
The Museum is open from Easter to the end of October. We close daily for the lunch period between 12.30 and 2.30pm.
