The Kingsbridge and District Camera Club will be holding its annual exhibition in July.

The event, which will be held in the Market Hall, Kingsbridge, takes place between July 22 and 26 (9.30am to 5pm daily).

This popular exhibition allows the club to show off its member's work, most of which is large (A3) prints. Many feature local scenes and events.

John Hales, chairman of Kingsbridge and District Camera Club, says he is very excited about the 2008 event.

"The exhibition is the showcase event for the club. It is the occasion when we introduce ourselves to potential new members," he explained.

"In recent years the club has doubled in size to just over 50 members, probably due to digital revolution."

Mr Hales says new members, whether they are experienced photographers or just total beginners, are very welcome.

The club holds its meetings at the Upper Room, The Crabshell Inn, Embankment Road, Kingsbridge, on Thursday nights (7.30pm).
