Harbour House is the venue for an exhibition featuring a new collection of Sally Fisher's oil paintings, pastel drawings and mixed media collages.

The exhibition opens at the Kingsbridge gallery on Monday 14 April, and runs for a fortnight.

Sally will give a gallery talk at 12 noon on Thursday 17 April, and will explain more about her inspiration, and her fascination with the creative process.

She will also take the opportunity to develop some paintings whilst in the gallery, and is happy to talk about her work at any time.

"I love energy, light, colour and movement," explains Sally, who has a huge enthusiasm for working across a wide range of media, taking the time to explore and seek out the particular qualities of each.

She counts oils paints and pastels amongst her favourites, and has an enduring passion for the discipline of life drawing.

A recent convert to printmaking, Sally has enjoyed blurring the boundaries between different processes, and has found the techniques used in building collagraph plates inspirational in developing mixed media paintings and panels.

Formal art school training in the 1970s stood her in good stead for a career as a professional artist, and for the last 20 years Sally has worked as an illustrator, painter and art tutor, with work in several high profile exhibitions at home and abroad.

She is also a published writer, as well as finding time to produce a daily illustration featuring her charismatic Astrocat, well known to followers of Jonathan Cainer's astrology pages in the national press.

Opening times for the exhibition are 10am - 5pm, Monday - Saturday, and 11am - 4pm on Sundays. Admission is free.
